What is copyleft?
You’re free to use, share, and remix any of Process Feedback’s contents with attribution
What is “copyleft”?
Copyleft is a twist on the word “copyright” but with a different philosophy. While copyright limits how others can use creative work, copyleft encourages sharing. It gives people the freedom to use, adapt, and remix something. To keep the same freedoms, the original source often needs to be credited. It’s about openness, collaboration, and the belief that knowledge and creativity grow when they’re shared.
| Copyright | Copyleft |
|---|---|
| Restricts use and distribution | Encourages use and sharing |
| Often used to protect commercial rights | Often used to promote collaboration and openness |
| "All rights reserved" | "All rights reversed" |
You’re free to use what we build
At Process Feedback, we believe ideas grow stronger when they're shared. That’s why we choose copyleft.
Our website contents are copyleft. No restrictions. You’re free to use what we build.
If you use or remix anything from Process Feedback, just include a simple credit like: 'Originally from Process Feedback (processfeedback.org)'.
Our source code is not open source yet
Our application is free to use, and our content is copyleft. However, our core web application and our extensions are not open source.
We’ve chosen to keep the source code private, for now, because we're still actively improving several key features. We plan to begin open-sourcing some of our tools.
We’ll continue to share updates as the project evolves. Please follow us in our social media channels.
