Process Feedback is free for individual teachers and students
What "free" includes
Everything an individual teacher or student needs for everyday classroom use is free.
Free features include:
-
Extensions for Google Docs, Canvas, etc. -
Student-facing writing and coding editors -
Classroom use without LMS or SSO requirements -
Teacher dashboards, and many more
Why we built it this way? Teachers are being flooded with educational tools that are not only behind paywalls but also expensive. Unless your institution mandates it, you shouldn’t need procurement approval just to give better feedback on student writing.
How we keep Process Feedback accessible
Most individual usage runs directly in the browser and has minimal infrastructure cost. Institutions are different. Delivering and maintaining those capabilities carries technical, legal, and operational cost.
Schools, colleges, and universities typically require:
-
LMS/LTI integration, -
single sign-on, -
data handling documentation, -
guaranteed uptime, -
onboarding and support, and more.
What institutions pay for
Institutional plans unlock capabilities that only schools, districts, colleges, and universities need:
-
LMS integration (Canvas, etc.) -
Centralized admin dashboards -
Compliance and security documentation -
Priority onboarding and technical support -
Uptime and reliability commitments
Our commitment to teachers and students
Core classroom workflows will remain free. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will not replace or restrict tools that teachers and students already depend on. Please spread the word and help us keep Process Feedback free for individual teachers and students.
Thank you for keeping it free for individual teachers. My school is not really rich and having tools like this available to individual teachers makes a world of difference.

Thank you for being here ❤️
Process Feedback exists because of the teachers and students who use it and challenge it to improve. If you have ideas, feedback, or want to collaborate, please reach out to us. We would love to hear from you.
